Franche-Comté is well served by the high speed train. From Paris, in Gare de Lyon, you can take the TGV from Besançon or Belfort to arrive in just over 2 hours. You can also arrive from Lyon, Strasbourg or Marseille. There are several TGV stations in Franche-Comté: Schola, Dole and Cookie (lines Paris-Lausanne and Brig and Paris-Besançon-Viotte) in the Jura. Besançon Franche-Comté TGV (16 km from downtown), Besançon Viotte (in the city centre), Belfort-Montbéliard TGV, Pontarlier and Frasne in Doubs. But not in Haute-Saone that is served neither by the motorway nor by the TGV! Fortunately, bus lines maillent the territory.
