What one likes in Besançon is the charm of the city, mixing urban and green nature, it is the special atmosphere coming from the banks of Doubs, these are the welcoming and smiling inhabitants… And what you like in Besançon, you will find it at Malate! Because what pleases Malate is above all its charming and picturesque surroundings, its small, quiet corner on the edge of the water, where one likes to dine with a kitchen, which is simple but well designed. On the menu, duck duck, Toulouse sausage or dessert, but also fried fish, wolffish or its skewers de and other specialties.

Charming restaurant with quality cuisine. To find a choice of fresh sea fish Besançon c'& quot; is quite rare. Bravo, I will recommend this restaurant hesitate

Charming setting but here is the only advantage! Tasteless and very expensive food and especially 1:30 waiting before being served, around 5 people left the restaurant, weary to wait, refractory owner with all remarks (even formula politely)... a catastrophe! I loved this place, I will not go back more

Disappointed by this inn, the dishes are very simple for the price of the menus. For example menu at €32 you have shrimps aïoli (served shrimps not peeled without close! it is better at the house) the main course is: skewers St Jacques that swim in the grasse served with potatoes and cooked skin for steamed... very professional!!!! As for dessert, nothing extraordinary, desserts identical to the cafeteria corner... Difficult to communicate its feeling with the owner or the waiters... You can eat, you pay and sets leave... and that is all... That a shame because the site is magnificent, terrace Doubs.
In conclusion, I will not go back and I will not send my worst enemy to it.

The setting is very pleasant and the waiters friendly but it is very average, expensive and not very copious...
The dishes (salmon and 6 scallops) swim in the oils, homemade chips very grasse and are cooked too much. an entrance, 2 dishes, 1 badoit, 1/2 wine jug, 1 coffee: Santiago de compostela £66-74! (1/2 wine jug of the Loire €22!) should not be played the gastros when you are brasserie...
Very disappointing. Ideal place for a drink but the restaurant is to be avoided.
