Whether for sightseeing or for getting around, the Voie verte des berges du Doubs in Besançon is a very good option. Following the towpath of the river in a loop around the old town, it offers beautiful views of the city. Starting from the Battant bridge, it leads exactly to the Canot bridge via the Citadelle underpass, the Mazagran footbridge or the Charles-De-Gaulle bridge. It's a pity that the surface is not very smooth and does not allow rollerbladers to progress (cyclists will be fine, however); alternatively, you can take a VéloCité.

C'est un bon endroit à promener avec ou sans enfants, que ce soit à pied en vélo ou en roller. la voie est fermée à la circulation de la voiture donc on est assez tranquille. la voie est assez long et au bord de l'eau c'est très agréable on est même à l'abri de la chaleur en plein été. A l'autre côté do Doubs il y a le parc de la gare d'au avec beaucoup de jeux aux enfants. c'est un endroit que nous terminons toujours notre balade
