COMTOIS MUSEUM
Since 1960, the Royal Front has been occupied by the Comtois Museum. This museum, founded by Abbot Garneret (1907-2002), contributed to the development of franc ethnology. Indeed, this church man devoted his life to collecting, collecting, studying objects belonging to the daily life of rural comtois, mainly to understand springs and customs. Organised around daily life themes such as food, entertainment and work, the museum covers no fewer than 17 rooms. The visitor discovers, during his visit, the processing of milk, the exploitation of metal, the habitat, the chimney plates… A council, not to miss the besancon nursery represented by three puppet collections of the th century and the th century. Ad hoc exhibitions highlight special aspects of regional daily life.
