Musée Gustave Courbet, located in Ornans, presents the artist's biography through letters.
Gustave Courbet was born in Ornans. The museum shows the extent of the link between the artist and his home town. The painter's work shows scenes of everyday life in and around Ornans. The biography of this committed artist can be discovered through his paintings and letters to his family. It is common to be moved in front of Le Chêne de Flagey, purchased by the Department. The museum, renovated in 2011, highlights its illustrious inhabitant in a sublimated house, and through more than 50 works. Visit to be completed with the Courbet Farm in Flagey.

Ben mince alors je ne savais pas que ce fut celui qui a cassé les règles.
Grand tableau = religion / mythologie / Fait historique
C'est fait pour ça la journée du patrimoine...
2 espaces d'expositions (temporaire et permanent)
j'ai d'avantage apprécié l'espace temporaire.
Des peintures de Monet / Manet / etc étaient également accrochées.
Des visites guidées sont organisées .... moi je préfère.
