Barnabé, a mythical place bought by the town hall of Boulazac-Isle-Manoire, has been entrusted in management to three contractors from the Périgord. Built in 1935 by Léopold Foussard, the Art Deco architecture listed as a 20th century heritage site has been renewed in the same spirit, with added comfort. The main period structures have been preserved inside and out, and above all the terrace has been superbly refurbished overlooking the Isle, perfect when musicians are invited to play (and in winter in the glass roof). What was stuck, since the reopening in the summer of 2017, was the restoration part... A new brigade was formed around the Chef Yohan Fargeot, who passed through La table du Pouyaud. The brasserie formula remains at lunchtime, in the evening it is a more assertive "bistronomy" spirit. The faithful should come back. Especially since the site is now open all year round. In the evening, you can also sit around the tapas bar, also new. And the animations follow one another: a DJ settles down on Thursday evening, the weekends are more rock and jazz. On Sunday afternoons, the atmosphere is more resolutely tea room, around a selection of pastries.
