All year round you can admire the ice stored in this natural "fridge" where the farmers came to buy. It is a savant mixture of cold and water over 60 m underground that allows the conservation of the ice all year round. After many human holdings since the Middle Ages and its vocation as former Abris of the county war in the th century, the cave and ice have suffered somewhat. But the aven reserves other surprises of size, one of France's biggest stalactites (swarm), fossils of crabs and urchins of middle Jurassic… The guides are to explain the unique ice phenomenon in France and Western Europe at 525 m altitude. A film on prehistory famous your visit. This remarkable site, rich in local history, is worth a visit.

Frankly it is sad that I put such a severe opinion, but disappointment…once the paid entrance fee, the guide which looks passably tipsy takes us into a room where a video turns in loop…it does not find how to give lavidéo at the beginning while we are alone, therefore looks at the last minute 10 film before watching the beginning, the discovery of the monéraux one who however rprésente a sacred collection is gâche by the deplorable state of the place, dust and paintings by araigné covers the windows, when the cave, leads to the step of race by a guide rather " gai" we will not remember it much, unfortunately, the site is imposing, full of history and magic and collection of minerals is substantial….last mistake of the day, try to go for a drink in the adjoining establishment, hygiene is deplorable there, we will drink quickly make us consumption invaded by mouches while trying of step too to watch the state of our drinks…the site is worth much better.

Small and friendly visit that has an underground glacier. Finally, you request where this famous ice passed! However, the mineral exhibition presented before the glacier, is quite interesting and it is very beautiful.
