OFFICE DE TOURISME DU MONT D'OR ET DES 2 LACS
Hôpitaux-Neufs Tourist Office, offering a variety of outdoor and winter activities
Situated between the Massif du Mont d'Or and the Massif de l'Herba, the village of Les Hôpitaux-Neufs is the commercial centre of the Métabief resort. It is famous for its 13th-century Romanesque church, which was burnt down by the Swedes during the 30 Years' War and restored in Italian Renaissance style in the 16th century. The Baroque bell tower was added in 1694, and the church is now listed as a historic monument. The village also offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking and trail walking, mountain biking, paragliding, fishing, and climbing. In winter, the Métabief resort offers cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and a variety of other winter activities.
