Instructive visit in the museum of the castle Pertusier in Morteau, to discover the history and the manufacture of the watch.
The Renaissance-style Château Pertusier dates from the 16th century. It is a Mecca of Comtoise watchmaking, which allows visitors to discover the history and manufacture of the watch. The rooms present an impressive collection of watches and clocks dating from the 17th and 18th centuries: the planetary clock, a unique piece dating from 1887, the wooden clock from 1680... The visit is very instructive in order to understand the work necessary for the creation of these objects to measure time. A 1930 workshop has been entirely reconstituted. Not to be missed.
