OSSEL CAVE
Cave with a gallery through which a river flows, containing limestone concretions formed by the passage of water through ores
Discovered in the 13th century, the main gallery of this cave open to the public is over a kilometer long. A river runs through it, emerging 4 kilometers further on. Along the way, you'll discover the incredible colors of the limestone concretions, due to the passage of water through the metallic ores of iron, manganese, copper and aluminum, which tint the sculptures formed over thousands of years red, yellow, green and black. The icing on the cake is that, in the 1970s, some fifteen complete bear skeletons were found during excavation work.
