In the heart of the charming village of Rougemont, the museum boasts treasures of geology and paleontology, which is almost 500 pieces. You can admire numerous septarias of exceptional size as well as fossils and ammonite. Crystals such as calcites, gypses, and quartz are also exposed. During a visit, you will be told why these fossils are here and the history of each piece. In addition to permanent collections of geology (ammonite, septarias) and paleontology, an exhibition on the "PN 14" railway is presented throughout the season. Archaeology, paleontology and geology… all the prehistoric history of Franche-Comté.
