DEPARTMENTAL MUSEUM OF ARTS AND TECHNIQUES
Museum with technical objects, vehicles from the beginning of the 20th century, with wood cutting machines and a locomotive.
Set on the heights of Champlitte, this museum is an extension of the Museum of Folk Arts and Traditions. Jean-Christophe Demard, the son of Albert and Félicie, the founders of the museum set up in the castle, brought together technical objects and vehicles from the beginning of the th century. The first room has a huge cutting machine and a locomotive. The visit continues along the streets of a village reconstructed with its shops of craftsmen (cobbler, baker, charron, shoemaker, blacksmith, boilermaker…), and the "new" crafts created after the invention of the explosion engine, electricity or steam machine. The atmosphere of the time and daily life in its various aspects are extraordinarily well revived.
