CÉSAR CAMP
Above the village of Chariez, which entered the "Small Comtoises Cités of Character" club in 2014, is a somewhat special plateau, which is named "Camp of Caesar". We expect to find traces of an illustrious Roman past, but it is not! We know, however, that the place was occupied in prehistoric times, since carved stones were discovered there. At the end of the road there is a very good view of the village and the surroundings of Vesoul. This site of 40 hectares classified Natura 2000 is ideal for a picnic with a family. Altitude is about 375 metres away and allows gliders to take off. The children take the view full!
