Two replacement elements of Gray Fort Castle: the walls and tower of the The (at the entrance to the Baron Martin Museum) dating from the th century. At that time Gray was the second port in eastern France after Strasbourg! The castle fort of the city was probably erected in the 1333 th century, then destroyed the first time in the late th century burnt in the XIV, rebuilt by Jeanne, Queen of France in. It was then sabotaged during the Hundred Years'War (in the fifteenth century). Emperor Charles the Quint rebuilt him in the xvith century. It is Louis XIV that destroys it permanently.
