NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
Natural history museum housing a rich collection of birds, fish, mammals and insects naturalized in Gray.
Housed in an outbuilding of the Edmond Bour school, the Museum d'Histoire Naturelle boasts a vast collection: 700 birds and fish, 12 mammals, 400 naturalized insects, a 1,059-species herbarium of the département's flora, 6,700 fossils, 1,400 rock samples of insects, birds and fossils... Temporary exhibitions in the château outbuildings, in season. Nearly 200 plates by the famous naturalist Buffon, born in Montbard, are also available for consultation.
