SAINT CHRISTOPHER CHURCH

This ancient church is now home to a Protestant temple. Founded in the th century, she was first Catholic and then Protestant in the th century during the wars of religions. It was in 1562 that the first pastor, Jean Larcher. Between 1700 and 1887, the church is dedicated to both religious, Protestant and Catholic. At the end of the th century, only reformed worship remained practised. Several renovations and restorations have kept the building in excellent condition. Since 1995, he has been classified as an additional inventory of Historical Monuments. Under one of the contemporary windows, a side door bears the blason of the princes of Fürstenberg, lords of Hericourt in the early th century. On the northern facade of chore, one distinguishes the receiver Tombstone Poinsard from the construction of the first chapel of the church. The great organ was inaugurated in 1923 by Albert Schweitzer, renowned doctor, pastor, philosopher and Alsatian musician.
