Apart from the artistic work itself, carved by Mrs Faure-Couty and inaugurated in 1979, the character is the one who keeps the attention. François-Baptiste Ephraim Camember, more known as Sapper Camember, comes from the imagination of Georges Columbus, born to Lure. In the 1890 s, the latter created, under the pseudonym Christophe, a few tasty heroes among whom one finds Sapper Camember. Near the wall of the cultural centre, you will find a fresco to the glory of the author.
