Mainly concentrated in the town center and along the seafront, the Ville d'Été is Arcachon's oldest and busiest district. Built around 1845, it comprises three piers: the Thiers pier, the Eyrac pier (with its carrousel) and the Legallais pier , which punctuate the seafront promenade. From the Casino to the allée de la Chapelle lies the heart of the town, with its renovated market, its superb Place des Marquises near the town hall, its administrative center, its pedestrian streets, its beautiful boutiques and its rather chic stores.
