RAY-SUR-SAÔNE CASTLE
From all the castles of the department, if we had to choose only one, it would probably be this one. Built on a promontory, this ancient castle was redesigned in the th century. We have to imagine that in the Middle Ages there were fourteen laps! It was the largest fortress in the region. The panorama of the Saône Valley is exceptional. The building was beautifully preserved in May 2015 by its former owner, Countess Diane de Salverte. He had been in his family for thirty-three generations! A wonderful gesture that allows everyone to discover this jewel of classical architecture.
