GRAMMONT HOSPITAL
In 1753, Pierre de Gramont (1708-1795) entrusted the construction of a hospital to the architect Bisontin Nicolas Nicole. Work is carried out between 1755 and 1768. Sober, the new building is built on a central chapel plan like Gray hospital. It could accommodate 24 sick or old people in two large rooms located on the floor and opening onto a central chapel. The ground floor (open to the public) serves the accommodation of the nuns of St. Marthe, the apothicairerie, the kitchen and the lingerie. To be seen: furniture, crockery, oak panelling and coloured tiles. The establishment now houses a retirement home. Visits organised by the Tourist Office. Feel free to contact us!
