Traditional restaurant in Blaye offering very good value menus with lunch and gourmet menus.

Le Gavroche is a traditional restaurant nestled in a pedestrian street in downtown Blaye. Since taking over in 2019, it has been run by David and Thomas in the kitchen. At lunchtime on weekdays, a two- or three-course menu is offered, featuring regional produce and offering superb value for money. On the à la carte menu, you'll find a range of gourmet options, including a revisited oeufs cocotte, pulled pork burger, pan-fried entrecôte with red wine sauce and home fries, and the famous "babelaine" with amber rum... The place is elegant and the welcome very pleasant.

De passage : bonne surprise, belle découverte !
Nous vous conseillons de vous y arrêter ! Un accueil très chaleureux et attentionné par David, un conseil avisé sur le choix du vin, un apéritif d'accueil avec mignardises salées qui annoncent l'amour des choses bien faites, et surtout faites maison. Un plaisir d'une musique de fond bien choisie, d'une ambiance intime dans une décoration cosy. Nous recommandons sans restriction, très bon rapport qualité prix. (pour ne pas être déçu : passez un coup de fil pour réserver même dans l'heure). Bravo au chef.

In 1 small street, the tables in the heart of the road await us, super setting, quiet, welcomed very well. Hard menu right slate (lunch menu € __ent_numeric entrance main dish and dessert, hitherto super, choice of 4 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts, so I take 1 gizzard salad as starter, fish in main course and dessert 1 Basque cake, I believed to level me but!! Salad in sachets, good I eat it but BOF BOF, after fish and freeze sauce with rice cooked with L water and small ratatouille house! And for dessert: ((((((also frozen for Basque cake and custard in may. Here is a pity D to have such a beautiful setting and eat whole ready.
