Wood-fired grills in a restaurant with a terrace in Bordeaux offering semi-cooked foie gras or leg of lamb with string.
Nicknamed "The old Bordeaux table", the Grill au Thyme invites us to enjoy wood fire grills in the Saint-Pierre district. In an old vaulted stone room decorated with copper pans and a giant bellows, everything is authentic and warm. The traditional and regional spirit séduit the unconditional (cooked in front of you in the fireplace) and the most traditional gourmets. At the map, the semi-baked foie gras and its glass of loupiac (13 €), leg to the string (12 €), the coquelet to green pepper (€ 14) or the flambées flambées (€ 16) and of course, before starting, the famous garbure served in its soup during the winter (8 €). It's a great place for you, as you love, who will easily fill the hungry! The menus, very affordable and complete, will definitely delight you. In short, a nice framework and service, the nice taste of "come back there" and especially the summer, when the terrace beats the pavement of rue des Rue. A very good address of the neighborhood that stands out by its quality.

Nous obtenons une table en extérieur après négociation qui s’avère être un calvaire (2h30 pour honorer le repas) avec seul motif que c’était un soir de coupe du monde de rugby sur Bordeaux (a croire qu’on avait prévenu ce restaurant la veille).
Je ne relève pas les incompétences liées au service et les maladresses (café gourmand sans café)
Bref, évidemment je ne recommande pas ce restaurant qui pour finir manque cruellement d’hospitalité …..

La salade au saumon est degueulasse !!!!
La salade n’est même pas fraîche, elle est horrible et passée.
La bavette est à point mais saignante et dure et immangeable. Sans parler de la purée de pomme de terre à base de poudre et d’eau industrielle. Et le dessert sans goût, horrible et pire que industrielle.
Fuyez fuyez fuyez … le restaurant est sale et le service inadmissible. Limite on vous jette vos assiettes et on ne vous adresse la parole que avec une agressivité.
En fait : 3 heures pour manger un menu immangeable !!!!
Scandaleux … si je ne tombe pas malade je ne comprendrai pas !!!
