LAXEMADD
Danish restaurant with terrace in Bordeaux offering seasonal cuisine, sandwiches, Scottish salmon.
Peter is Danish, Peter is also Lax & Co, a caterer whose Scottish salmon and smoked herring (from Norway) make everyone agree. He is also the man behind the LaxeMADD team. The restaurant has taken over the kitchens of the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, MADD for those who know it well. Immediately to the left as you enter the museum's inner courtyard, the restaurant is accessible to all. The tables set up outside do not fail to brighten up the magnificent architectural ensemble of the Lalande mansion built between 1775 and 1779. Here, no fuss, we propose you above all to taste a seasonal cuisine emphasizing tastes and flavors. The menu can be summed up very simply, around a starter, two main courses and the desserts of the day, to which are added a delicious toasted sandwich and a salad. Not forgetting the Danish plate served with two kinds of smoked herring, home-smoked salmon and salmon marinated in dill; or how to enjoy the specialties of the house in all simplicity (or almost)! As for the homemade breads, they are to die for. Until 5pm, you can still come and sip a drink or indulge in a slice of "lagkage".
