Sushis, sashimis, chirashis, makis, donburis, bentos and other typical Japanese dishes, to eat in or take away.

Large mirrors, wood-panelled walls, bamboo flooring and teak furniture: the décor is uncluttered but warm, in this Tokyo bistro-style restaurant. At the counter, on the spot, on delivery or to take away, you'll find typically Japanese dishes: sushi, sashimi, maki, donburi and bentos. The latter, very popular in Asia in their compartmented box containing a complete gourmet meal (hot dish, rice and salad), are one of the establishment's specialties. Opposite, its little brother: the Café Japonais annex.

Somebody mentioned this place to us and we turned up at midday without a reservation. There was a table available on the terrace. The adults had the set menu and the children chose different menu items: sushis, ramen, etc. It was wonderful. We had plenty to eat and didn't have room for dessert (unfortunately). We came away feeling we had eaten very well but also healthily. Fantastic and we had the impression that it was less 'westernised' than many Japanese food places around here.
