LA KITCHEN BY MONDOWINE
Cuisine based on fresh products in a restaurant in Bordeaux offering wines, champagnes or beers.
In former warehouses on the Quai Achard, a huge cellar with industrial decoration has recently been created. More than 800 wines from all over the world are referenced - hence the name Mondowine -. They each have their own corner and they rub shoulders with champagnes, beers, spirits, as well as a very original water cellar from all over the world. All bottles are to be taken away or tasted on site at La Kitchen by Mondowine restaurant. You can therefore test great wines or foreign wines at cellar prices! Every lunchtime during the week, the menu is concocted with fresh seasonal and often local products: meats from l'Ecuyer-Tranchant and pastries from Pierre Mathieu. We settle down on large high tables in a very friendly atmosphere to appreciate the good small dishes: shellfish with truffled ham, salmon papillote with small vegetables, chicken aiguillettes, lemon cream and snack vegetables. On Thursday and Friday evenings, we meet for afterwork in a "Carte à partager" formula: tapas, crunchy vegetable platters, truffle crunch, roasted camembert... The winery regularly organizes exhibitions and vernissages. Good to know: the tram stop and the car park are open until midnight at 176 rue Achard.
