Restaurant offering refined and traditional cuisine in Bordeaux.
In the heart of Bordeaux, just a stone's throw from rue Sainte-Catherine, L'Originel seduces with its location and its menu. In this intimate and beautifully decorated restaurant, ideal for romantic get-togethers, the chef gives pride of place to seasonal produce. Through a refined and traditional cuisine, the chef pleases our taste buds. The cooking, the sauces, the seasonings... Everything is excellent! On the menu, snails from the Lot-et-Garonne and their emulsion, roasted aubergines and crispy tuile, grilled veal chop and its garnish... The desserts are not to be outdone with pretty proposals: dark chocolate iced soufflé or red fruit pavlova.

I had a carpaccio de poisson du moment, retour de chasse (main course) and dessert chocolate noir. They were delicious. I was surprised that the chef ran the kitchen by himself to serve 7 tables per night.

After traveling throughout Europe, L’ Original gave us our best meal. Two chefs serving servicing a small room and offering a thoughtful and curated menu with the right amount of options. We’ll be thinking about the meal for a long time and will be recommending it to any friends traveling to Bordeaux.
