Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant in Bordeaux, offering well-crafted local products and a fine wine list.
Located in the Bastide district, L'Oiseau Bleu is one of Bordeaux's finest restaurants, with a well-deserved Michelin star. Chef François Sauvetre's menu gives pride of place to local produce: meats and seafood are skilfully cooked to reveal all their finesse and complexity. Carrot bonito, turmeric, vanilla, veal loin, celtuce lettuce, clove, grilled miso, Soustons peanut, chocolate, yakon, sakura... Associations, cooking, textures, presentation, everything is perfect!

The dishes were complex and delicious - made from local produce and each plate presented immaculately!
The restaurant front of house team - wait staff and sommelier, were extremely friendly and able to provide detailed explanations of what we were served (in english if you need it). We never felt at any moment rushed during the meal.
Had we spent longer in Bordeaux we would no doubt have returned as the other dishes and seasonal menus served to fellow diners looked amazing too!
The quality of the food means that the experience is not inexpensive, but compared with other restaurants we have visited of a similar standard - it represented good value.
I hope our congratulations were passed to the chef and kitchen team as they absolutely deserved it. Loved every minute of it.
Well done!

Petite salle épurée et bien insonorisée
