Traditional Southwestern cuisine in a restaurant in Bordeaux offering grandmother's dishes.
Want to discover the flavors of the South-West's gastronomic heritage? Since 1968, the team has been sourcing the finest local produce to concoct simple, traditional dishes reminiscent of those served by our grandmothers. Chef Franck Audu's seasonal dishes include razor clams with caviar, cassoulet Chalossais, lamprey à la bordelaise, macaroonade with porcini mushrooms, bacon and foie gras... The fries are homemade, cooked in duck fat. As for the desserts, they take us back to our childhood memories. An institution!

The chicken arrived with a burnt cast iron smell that irritated my throat, nostrils and palate. I should have said something as soon as the waitress uncovered the chicken in its Staub pan, but I didn't dare because I was in doubt. The worst dish I've had in recent years. The eels were too fatty and overcooked. The "big" cannelé was too dry. The semi-cooked foie gras as a starter was very good but that's not how you judge a restaurant. A real dissapointment for my friend and I. The service was (ironically) excellent.
