NOTRE DAME CHURCH
The façade of this church is adorned with several representations, in particular the Virgin Mary giving the Rosary to Saint Dominic
Built around 1700, this former Dominican convent became a parish church in 1802. Its striking Baroque façade, restored in 1980, contrasts with the simplicity of the interior. The church's Baroque façade is totally integrated with the other buildings in the Golden Triangle district. The façade is adorned with a number of representations, most notably the Virgin Mary giving the Rosary to St. Dominic. This act gave rise to the name of the square in front of the church: Place Chapelet. In this beautiful Notre-Dame church, the eye is drawn to interesting 18th- and 19th-century paintings, 17th-century ironwork, carved wooden confessionals and trompe-l'œil decoration in the chapels.
