ST. ELOI CHURCH
Located under Grosse Cloche on St James street, this church of the th and th centuries has an irregular plan of the fact that it was encircled by the city walls to the north, the ditches to the south and the belfry to the west. In the 80 s, the church was a municipal archive, then squattée, vandalisée and decaying without anyone having the means to hand it over. In 2002, it will be occupied by a Catholic traditionalist association celebrating the ritual rite, which restored it, but its layout by the town hall was challenged, particularly by the diocese, which resulted in legal recourse. Finally, it was in 2007 that the «personal» parish will be awarded to the Good Shepherd Institute, after recognizing the authority of the Pope.
