HIGH COURT
A courthouse built by Richard Rogers in 1998 and distinguished by its conical wooden towers that house the courtrooms.
Built by Richard Rogers in 1998, it is the great architectural success of the "new Bordeaux". Located a stone's throw from Place Pey-Berland and the Saint-André Cathedral, the tribunal de grande instance is distinguished by its conical wooden towers that house the courtrooms. In addition to the construction of the High Court, the whole of the judicial district and its surroundings have been rethought, including a restructuring and extension of the magistrates' school by the architect Emmanuel Lajus, as well as a rehabilitation of the old medieval towers by Jean-Pierre Errath, architect of the Bâtiments de France.
