The ruins of the Palace Gallien are among the ancient vestiges of the city of Bordeaux. In Roman times, this building, built by the Emperor Gallien in the third century, served as an amphitheatre for the games. At the time, the wooden stands hosted 20 000 spectators attending chars and gladiators races. To learn more about this building and its former occupants, do not hesitate to make one of the guided tours in the summer or in the evening. The Gallien Palace, a historic monument, has treasures. Since the th century, it has been the subject of archaeological excavations!
