Building with a rich past built in 1772, and current City Hall of Bordeaux that can be discovered in guided tour.

Right next to the Saint-Andre Cathedral is the Palais Rohan. A guided tour allows you to discover this monument built in 1772 under the initiative of Archbishop Mériadec de Rohan. Archbishop's palace until the Revolution, the departmental headquarters, the seat of the revolutionary court in 1791, the prefecture in 1802, the imperial palace of Napoleon I in 1808, the royal castle in 1815 under Louis XVIII, it finally became the City Hall of Bordeaux in 1837. During the visit, don't forget to notice the monumental main staircase: it is worth a look!

Beau monument
