After the victory square, which saw the obelisk and the turtles of Ivan Theimer, the Stalingrad Square also enriched itself with a beautiful monument in 2005. A blue lion made of composite materials by Xavier Veilhan. This work is 8 metres long and 6 metres high with a design toy, proudly standing at the end of the Pont de Pierre, on the right bank of the Garonne, overlooking Thiers Avenue, the Sainte-Marie church and the quays of Queyries.

The lion of the bastide is easily distinguished in the décor with its blue color. It is a beautiful work of art, imposing more, which values well Stalingrad Square.
