An audacious, emblematic museum in Bordeaux, where visitors can discover wine through a digital, multimedia scenography.
The Cité du Vin, with its bold, emblematic architecture, offers a unique voyage of discovery into the world of wine. Part of the scenography, digital equipment and multimedia have been renewed to give greater prominence to living, scientific content, while retaining a playful, educational side. Other new features include the Atelier Bordeaux 360°, for a multi-sensory tasting experience, and Via Sensoria, an immersive tasting trail where visitors can experience the 4 seasons by tasting 4 glasses of wine or juice, to awaken their 5 senses.

Opening time and information on THE WINE CITY
Open daily, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. February to early April; 10 a.m.-7 p.m. April to August; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-9 a.m. weekends and during school vacations from September to December. Permanent exhibition + access to the belvedere with tasting: €23/adult and €22 on site; 6 to 17 years: €9. Workshops: €18 to €20; €54/family pack (2 adults + 2 children). Private areas. Les Ateliers de Bacchus (Best of Wine Tourism 2023) offers wine-related activities for corporate groups of 10 to 900 people: workshops, cocktails, team building...

On apprécie aussi que tout ne soit pas basé sur la région bordelaise. Bravo !
Petits bémols : au Belvédère, les aminateurs ne sont pas tous au niveau pour la dégustation... Mais alors ... Pas du tout ????
Attention aux erreurs... Par exemple voir la photo... C'est Jacky Rigaux, pas Rigaud ????
22€ tout de même la "visite "...
Finalement la plus belle découverte a été les Halles de Bacalan, juste en face de la cité du vin. Un dimanche après-midi, super ambiance conviviale et large choix de stands gastronomiques.
