Cultural center dedicated to contemporary art, with Bernard Magrez's private works and concerts, vernissages, workshops.

To share his passion for contemporary and street art, businessman and oenologist Bernard Magrez has embarked on an artistic patronage program, creating this institute within Château Labottière. Each room has been renovated to respect the original spirit of the place, with panelling, tassel chandeliers and fireplaces. It is in this little jewel that exceptional works from Bernard Magrez's private collection and temporary exhibitions are presented.

Cadre charmant dans cette jolie demeure, un peu excentrée du cœur touristique de Bordeaux, mais qui mérite vraiment le détour. Les œuvres contemporaines des collections permanentes ou des expositions temporaires, toujours choisies avec goût, sont particulièrement bien mises en valeur dans cet écrin classique. Une visite qui peut se faire en moins de 2 heures, mais qui vous laissera des souvenirs pour longtemps...

Un lieu qui détonne par le classicisme des bâtiments et par les oeuvres modernes, et c'est du plus bel effet. L'exposition "Expressions urbaines Street art, graffiti & lowbrow" est superbe. Possibilité d'écouter les commentaires avisés d'un guide tous les jours (d'ouverture) à 16h. C'est vraiment super.
NB: rapport qualité/prix imbattable les 1er dimanche du mois !!!

A good place for an introduction to modern art. This by taste or not shock the reluctance Bordeaux that Bernard Magrez made aesthetic choices, conventiels and little disturbing for its permanent collection? Whatever the vist and conference on the Shangai are of great interest and it is a visit really is worth the trip.
