RELIEF DRAWINGS
3D relief maps representing 4 tourist areas of Bordeaux: Hôtel de Ville, Comédie-îlot Louis, Saint-Pierre and Bacalan.
The city of Bordeaux has installed bronze "relief maps" in front of the Grand-Théâtre, Porte Cailhau, Place Pey Berland and in front of the Cité du Vin, depicting the old city and corresponding to four tourist sectors: the Hôtel de Ville district, the Place de la Comédie-Îlot Louis sector, the Saint-Pierre district and Bacalan. They allow the visually impaired, but also all tourists, to better visualize the districts in which they are. The plaques, which are figurative and easily readable, are also written in Braille.
