The Place Pey-Berland contains several important monuments of the city. Also known as the Place de la Mairie, it is home to the Palais Rohan, which became the Hôtel de Ville in 1837. Opposite, the Cathedral of Saint André and the Pey Berland Tower, which offers a unique view of the city from its 66-metre high tower. On the square, a statue of Jacques Chaban Delmas, mayor of Bordeaux from 1947 to 1995, who was succeeded by Alain Juppé. As for transport, the tramway lines A and B are served.
