FROMAGER JEAN D'ALOS
The Jean d'Alos cheese dairy was founded in Bordeaux in 1983 and is managed by Clarence Grosdidier, a cheese maturer. It features a wide range of soft, fruity and hard cheeses. It is hard not to let yourself go to the delights of seeing all these artisanal or farm cheeses, most often made with raw milk. The company's Pyrenees range (tomme de Bordeaux, tomme d'Aquitaine and gabiétou) was voted one of the 100 best cheeses sold in the United States by the Wine Spectator, one of the most important American wine publications. Jean d'Alos now has 7 boutiques in Aquitaine and 10 maturing cellars.
