Since 1997, the Trans'jurassienne is the longest international cross-country ski race in France with 4 000 competitors.
4,000 competitors put on their cross-country skis each year on the mythical 68 km from Lamoura to Mouthe. 2 classics on Saturday of 25 and 56 km and 3 on Sunday in "skating" (or no skating) of 25, 48 and 68 km. The refreshments are provided by the inhabitants of the villages crossed. This mythical race is the only French event on the Worldloppet calendar, a world long-distance challenge. In January, the children take to the track like their elders. More than 3,000 of them set off on the waxed "boards"!
