L'ASSAUT DES REMPARTS

Every summer, for more than thirty years, a great medieval festival has invaded the streets of Nozeroy. Musicians, clowns, jugglers, anonymous people dressed in period costumes... More than 200 volunteers are involved in the organization of this historical retrospective, knowing that the city claims to be "the smallest town in France". L'Assaut des Remparts has grown to such a size that it bears its name better and better! A parade in period costumes invades the streets where you can stroll from stall to stall, from stalls to stalls, from delicacies to demonstrations of craftsmanship... The most important moment of the day is the banquet, served as in the time of the knights, often with a beef cooked over a wood fire as the main course. Guests sit at tables set up all over town! And if you want to play the game to the end, you should know that the Nozeroy entertainment committee and the associations that assist it, even lend costumes to the visitors! A return in time is guaranteed, with the 34th edition of the event taking place in July 2021.
