Dressed in white shirts and masks, the "blowers" bring the city of Saint-Claude to life all day.
This festival was born on Ash Wednesday by the will of the local monks. It was to dislodge the evil spirit under the skirts of women. Dressed in long white shirts and faces hidden by black masks, people go through the streets, accompanied by a bellows. Nowadays, the city center comes alive with a great carnival with floats and animations of all kinds. The event ends with the burning of the king of the parade and a giant fireworks display. An unmissable event in the Haut-Jura. The entrance is free.
