LES BOIS RONDS

Today the Pesse, which means spruce in Jura patois, synonym with round wood. Indeed, since 1987, houses built entirely of trunks have been built on the model of the Nordic countries. The gamble was daring for the "La Spruce" company before it succeeded in introducing this original and yet natural concept. The house is built neither directly nor on site. First, the logs of spruce were tronçonne according to the plans. These are assembled, numbered and dismantled. The last step is to install the house at its final location. The company developed a system of insulation and sealing between large logs of 40 cm. In fact, there are few houses of this style in the Upper Combes. There are only a few here, others in Spain or in the Pyrenees and not always in full nature. The result leaves a dreamer. You can imagine the heat of a material that is so well placed. The atmosphere of winter evenings must be much more pleasant in the corner of a fireplace and surrounded by wood. This is the life in the mountains Jura, with or without logs, a harsh but so healthy life.
