The manufacture of briar pipes has contributed to the fame of the town of Saint-Claude. Chacom has held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label since 2013. This exceptional know-how has been perpetuated since 1825. An exhibition and museum area is open to the public all year round, enabling visitors to discover Jura know-how and the history of an industry that is emblematic of the Jura region. Chacom's influence extends nationally and internationally. A place to visit, and a history to discover.

Ich habe an einem Samstag den Fabrkladen besucht. Er ist interessant dekoriert mit unzähligen alten Pfeifen und Gegenständen rund um das Thema Pfeifenbau. Es laufen auch Videos, die den Herstellungsprozess zeigen. Ein Museum ist das jedoch nicht.
Das beste: Es sind alle noch hergestellten Pfeifenmodelle ausgestellt, zum Anschauen, Anfassen und Kaufen. Es gibt auch viele Andenken zu kaufen, vom T-shirt über Teetassen bis zum Schlüsselanhänger.
