LA GARE DE BELFORT
On the occasion of the arrival of the Grand TGV Est in 2011, the railway station was completely refurbished and renovated. Since 2014, it has been registered in the historic monuments, with its roof roofs, roofs, the courier hall and the building housing the passenger vestibule. Today it remains a main train station served by intercités trains coming from Paris East and by trains travelling between Strasbourg and Lyon-Part-Dieu, via Besançon-Viotte, at night between Strasbourg and Nice-Ville. It is still possible to go to Lyon or Paris without having to take a TGV (and the fare that goes with!) from Belfort city, even if the choice is limited. It is a train station of the TER Franche-Comté and TER Alsace networks serving the lines of Montbéliard, Vesoul, Dijon-city, Nancy-city and Mulhouse city. A shuttle bus connects it all day at the Belfort-Montbéliard TGV train station in 30 minutes.
