The Morvillars national necropolis, created in 1924 and enlarged in 1979, houses the bodies of soldiers who fell in Alsace and in local temporary hospitals. 160 soldiers, including Thomas Robertson and four servicemen from 1944, are buried here. Nearby is the "Kilometer Zero" of the Western Front, symbolized by Pfetterhouse, where the first confrontations began. The Morvillars war memorial honors the local soldiers who fell in both world wars.
