SAINT-ANDRÉ CHURCH
Classified as a historical monument in 1862, the 16th century neo-Gothic church, dedicated to the apostle André, stands in the heart of Appeville-Annebault. Begun in 1518 by Jean IV d'Annebault, as indicated by a plaque in the nave, the building, with its very special architecture, is composed of four levels of elevation, the last of which is pierced by twinned bays. It should be noted that Annebault's family, a patron of Appeville, gave its name to the town. Inside, the stone nave is entirely vaulted, the keystones are beautifully worked and decorated. The Saint-André church could well be renovated in the coming years, at least that is the wish of the mayor.
The illustrious Annebault family, whose ancestors fought with William the Conqueror in Hastings, was the lords of Appeville, Brestot and Aubigny in the mid-14th century
