Dedicated to Saint-Aubin, the Authou church has preserved traces of Romanesque architecture. The name of the Bishop of Angers attests to a Merovingian origin (late 11th century). From this period, it has kept its front door, two lancet windows on the north side of the choir and the remains of a magnificent bay at its bedside. Not far from here, located near the Le Palais River, a wooden washhouse bathed in a spring-fed basin has recently been skilfully restored in the old-fashioned way.
