NOTRE-DAME-DE-LA-COUTURE BASILICA
Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Couture, with a fine collection of stained glass and an organ, regularly hosts concerts.
The basilica of Notre-Dame-de-la-Couture takes its name from the deformation of the word "culture", the ploughed land on which it was built at the end of the 14th century, on an ancient Merovingian religious site. The current edifice was continually enlarged and restored until the 19th century when, thanks to the innovations of Viollet-le-Duc, the vaults were remodelled. It boasts a superb crypt, a fine collection of stained glass windows and an organ, which regularly hosts concerts.
