HOLY CROSS CHURCH
A church in Bernay, with a composite facade and a square tower in pure Flamboyant Gothic style
Begun in 1374, construction of this church was not completed until the late 19th century. The overall composition is harmonious Gothic, despite the contributions of 18th-century Classicism and late-19th-century Neo-Gothic. The composite facade features a wooden statue of Saint Helena (1724). The square tower is pure flamboyant Gothic. The facade of this listed gem was beautifully renovated in 2007. Since then, it has been illuminated at night.
